Wish It. Dream It. Do It.

Sorry that I have not had the chance to give you an update on the renovation project. The kitchen cabinets are coming along nicely. Matt and I spent all day Saturday painting more molding, cabinets and even imperfections and spots we missed on the main walls. We also were able to dispose of the old washer and dryer and begin to clean out what we are going to make into the “laundry room”. It really is just a laundry closet located in the bathroom.

If you read my “About” page, then you know that I am constantly staying busy and involving myself in new projects. My latest achievement is making it as a state contestant for the Miss New York USA 2014 Pageant being held in January 2014! I just came back from orientation (which was on Sunday) and I am completely inspired and honored to be part of such an extraordinary opportunity.

I literally was surrounded by over one hundred beautiful women from all over New York State. I was able to meet many of them and even was able to find a girl who is going to be my roomie over the pageant weekend! I also was able to meet last year’s Miss New York USA winner, Joanne Nosuchinsky!! She was the most down-to-earth and easy going girl I have ever met. I hope if I win, I can follow in her foot steps and represent the organization as well as she has this past year!

I am looking forward to receiving some coaching in a few weeks, as I have actually never done any type of pageant before. This also means another 5 hour drive down to NYC… whoo hoo!! Every girl in the pageant is beautiful so it is time to do some soul searching and really figure out what sets me apart from the other contestants. I look forward to getting to know myself better these next four weeks.

Sooner than later,
