Unintentional Weekend Workout.

I can only speak for myself, but this past weekend was definitely very chaotic and demanding. Friday I bounced from work to a non-for-profit holiday event to my little brother’s hockey game to another holiday party. By the end of the night, I could not find my bed fast enough. I do have to say, I did have a lot of fun and met a lot of great people!

I posted some funny pictures (above) that were taken at the last party stop Matt and I made. I thought it was such a creative idea to have little photo bombers on sticks that the guests could use to take senseless photos with. And, of course, we did! Who knew props at a party would lead to such unbelievable and interesting memories.

SATURDAY = PAGEANT GOWN SHOPPING DAY!! I honestly have to say that I have the most incredible family. They support me no matter what decisions I make in life. I have two younger brothers (if I didn’t mention that before), and Kevin, (the older of the two) told me that he wanted to help me find a gown for the Miss New York 2014 pageant. So Saturday we spent 7 hours, driving to 3 different stores while I tried on around 50 different gowns, until I found the perfect one, which finally did happen (although I am sure Kevin at one point never thought it would). I knew the dress was my dress the moment I saw it, before I even tried it on. Unfortunately, I want it to be a surprise the day of competition, so I am not posted a photo for everyone to see… SORRY!!! Just know that it is beautiful! And I thank my brother so much for going with me and being so supportive. Not once did a he rush me or make the experience negative at all.

Sunday, was another day to work on the house. I finished almost all of the kitchen cabinets (only 7 left that need one more final coat on the front). FINALLY. They seem endless. You have no idea. I also finished up lots of odds-and-ends because we really want to be able to start laying the floors down right after Christmas (which means all the painting really needs to be DONE).

I was able to finish the final coat of white paint around the screen door and minor touch ups. Hopefully this week we will be able to put the kitchen cabinets all back together and get an idea of how the white kitchen will actually look. It seems like I got an unintentional workout this weekend!!

Sooner than later,
