Slow but Steady Wins the Race.

Hello Everyone:

Just wanted to share some more quick updates on the renovation. I was able to go up to the house last night and finish up more white painting. At this point, the painting honestly seems endless. My dad was also able to do a second coat of the dark gray paint (it now looks perfect) and finish the green accent paint in the master bedroom (I loveeeeee it).

I finished painting the last coat of white paint around the sliding glass doors. They actually came out a lot better than I had imaged they would. I and I was also about to get four kitchen cabinets doors completely finished. I know I doesn’t sound like many but it’s a step in the right direction. Slow and steady wins the race. There are only 6 more doors that need one more coat and I think eight more doors that need two more coats; then all the kitchen cabinet doors are done!!!

Finally, I was also able to get one coat of white paint on the screen door that will slide into the sliding glass doors facing the back yard. The house is starting to look to look. There is still an overwhelming amount of work to be done but we keep chugging along. The appliances were all delivered yesterday as well and I cannot wait until we are at the point we were can install everything into our brand new kitchen!

As for the pageant, I appreciate everyone in my community for being such a huge support. I am extremely excited and humbled in a way to have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives. The article in the Citizen was very nice and I appreciate the acknowledgement.

To me, it’s not about winning the title, but what I do with the title (if I win) to help enrich the lives of the people around me.

Sooner than later,
