I have to just take a moment to write about how relived I am that I am done with my fall semester. I finally feel like I can see that light at the end of the tunnel. I only have one semester left and I will have my master’s degree. It feels like such an amazing accomplishment after all the work I have put into working full time and going to school full time. I am so excited to have a ten week break!! This means that I can completely focus on Matt and my new house and the renovations that we want to do to it. Yesterday we were able to pick out the countertops we wanted. It was so exciting! I am a little nervous about how all of the flooring, wall colors, cabinets and countertop are going to look all together, but I have faith in our sense of style. We are trying to go for a more modern/contemporary look in our home. We are picking out grayish tones and trying to keep the colors and patterns very clean. The house is completely open concept, so it will be a challenge to decorate the home in a modern way but also keeping that “homey” feel.
Another stepping stone I am looking forward to is the Miss New York USA Pageant in January 2014. I am so excited to have made it as a contestant! The Friday I am having hair extensions put in and the following week I will be having my head shots taken. I am blessed that I have had so many positive experiences come my way this year.
Sooner than later,
