“Merica”

According to Urban Dictionary, “Merica” is defined as a whole new way of saying America. As America falls into the category of a nation, Merica is the whole experience of American summed up in a stereotypical way. Eating anything deep-fried, shooting shotguns, getting so fat you attempt to use the force to levitate it off the coffee table, all compressed into one word.

Recently “Merica” has become a very popular style for clothing. Many teenagers and even young adults are wearing the American Flag all over: High waisted shorts, t-shirts, wrist bands, bandanas, crop tops and even shoes!! I put together a cute outfit that fits this trending style.

High waisted shorts have recently become extremely popular. You can find a huge selection of these shorts on esty.com and even ebay. In my personal opinion any Levi brand high waisted shorts are normally good quality. I own two pairs and I love them both. Unfortunately sizing is a little tricky. They usually go by your waist size in inches, but because some shorts are higher than other, it’s hard to tell whether they will be a little loose or a little tight. I am normally a size 24 in jeans (because my wait is 24 inches) but I find that high waisted shorts in size 24 are a little tight, so I go a size up and get 25.

I’d love any feedback about other similar styles or thoughts you might have!
