Happy Smooch Day

I just wanted to give a small shout to all of my followers and say Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope everyone is able to spend today with their friends, family, children or a loved one. But whether or not you spend today alone, with a significant other or a spouse, remember that you can only love another as much as you love yourself. If there is anything that I have learned these past three years, it is to accept yourself for whoever you are and in doing so, I have learned to share that love with others.

On March 1st, Matt and I will have been together for three years. I can honestly say they have been the happiest and most rewarding years of my life. I have grown and matured as a young adult but more importantly I have learned to put another’s needs and wants before my own. It is not always easy but I have definitely learned that relationships are about give and take. Matt is a little more willing to give than I am, but I have a tendency to be stubborn and it is something I am working on. During our renovation process he has let me take full rein of the home décor choices, although I am still very conscious to keep in him the decision making process. I appreciate that he trusts my design choices and our level of trust is one of the reasons why we work so well together. Well, sorry for my babbling, I hope everyone enjoys their smooch day!
