I cannot believe one year has already gone by since I started this blog. It’s a little scary how quick life truly passes us by. I must say that I could not be prouder of all the accomplishments this blog has helped me achieve this past year. The Tiny Professional is not just a blog but a name, a brand, an identity. It has become part of who I am and what I stand for.
While the first year has come to an end, I am thrilled to continue this journey and see what lies ahead. Once again, this blog is always changing, as am I. My future goals are to incorporate my new skin care business into my blog a little more. While I will refrain from posting about my business 24/7, The Tiny Professional is ultimately my personal website. I have spent the last few months pouring my heart into this new business and I truly want my readers to understand that Rodan + Fields is all about giving back to the community and their consultants. Last month we raised over $30,000 for buildOn, Inc., to build a school for students in need. This month we have partnered with ModaVive to do a dress drive where 60% of the proceeds will be donated to the Prescription for Change Foundation and another 10% are donated to the buyer’s choice. Being part of a company that cares so much about giving back to others is why I work as hard as I do. I am having so much fun growing my team. By changing peoples skin, we are indirectly changing their lives. Click here for some incredible success stories!
These past few months I have also been doing a lot of research and networking to build up programs for The Tiny Professional, Inc. Unfortunately the legal process is out of my hands (I am making an amendment to my corporation’s purpose), but once everything is completed and I can finally apply for 501(c)(3) status, I cannot wait to start implementing some great programs that are really targeted towards ‘tiny’ professionals (ages 16 to 29). I really want to build unique programs that help with effective keynote and public speaking, pursuing professional passions, the importance of professionalism and good mentoring and eventually I would LOVE to start up a scholarship fund for individuals who are pursuing entrepreneurial studies.
So even though The Tiny Professional started as just a blog, I feel like this next year (and the many years to come) this blog is going to grow into something so much more than I had ever imaged.
Sooner than later,
The Tiny Professional
