Elafonisos Beach

ELAFONISOS

AN ISLAND IN THE SOUTH OF THE PELOPONNESE

What a beach!! After over an hour of many winding roads, we finally arrived to Elafonisos Beach. I was speechless. The waters were so clear and turquoise blue that you could actually see pink sand on the base of the beach, hence it’s nickname, “the pink beach”. The beach stretched out for almost 7 miles, so there was plenty for us all to explore; and we did! As you can see by my pictures, different sections of the beach had completely different looks and feels.

On our way back to Chania, our bus made a stop in Kissamos, where we were able to see some spectacular views of mountains and rigid terrain. I of course, had to climb some parts of it, with the time that we had. I definitely will be keeping a list of all the places and activities I would like to do when I come back to Greece some day!
