Chania, Greece: Island of Crete

Well I learned (rather quickly) that I cannot find reliable wifi or even use my network when I’m at sea… gosh travel life can be so frustrating!! I miss Shawn and I miss being able to stay connected with the rest of the world. Fortunately my days for the next 2.5 months are packed with activities and travel, which should make the time go by rather quickly. Plus I am really loving this group of people I have just met. I can already tell that I will definitely being staying in touch with many of them, long after this trip!

This morning we arrived on Crete. Crete is an island, and our first stop was Chania, which is one of Crete’s most picturesque costal cities. We dropped our luggages off, went to the most incredible breakfast just a few blocks away (I added a picture) and then took an hour long bus ride to one of the nearby beaches. Finally, time to relax in the sunshine!!!

I enjoyed the soft sand and even ordered some sparking water! It was the most perfect weather; not too hot with just enough breeze. I swam a lot, which is not the norm for me. I was able to take a lot of great pictures with the girls I just met, ate a health greek lunch, and decided that I AM going to do yoga in Santorini when the sunrises!
